Should the elderly be allowed to drive until they kill people or should there be a system in place to test their driving abilities as they get older?

Faux you know this question is worded to give the option of only one real answer. So of course I'm going with hidden option three. Put them on their own strip of driving area, then let them take each other out.

There actually is...in my state of FL, and probably in most states, they do have the right to have you reexamined. As a Police Officer I have the authority to remove anyone from the road that is deemed unsafe to the public. We can also submit a form to have that person re tested either based on their driving, or as the result of a crash.

There should be a system in place to test the abilities of the elderly. However I am concerned if this could allow for some system of discrimination to be enabled.

Slanted question much? :o) Many states, including mine, require vision and/or driving tests at advanced ages. I am in favor of this.
