I am not familiar with the '91 Dynasty, but I recall having the same issues when the automatic choke went on my '87 Corolla. Refresh my memory; is the '91 Dynasty carburated or injected? In that era, they still did both.

I may be off here, but I would think when there is increased gas and the car dies that there is not enough spark to deal with the extra fuel. Perhaps there is a problem with the plugs, wires, etc? Otherwise perhaps there is a problem with the fuel pump not being able to keep up. Again, shot in the dark.
