A new report was just issued recently. Two Chinese warships confronted the U.S.S Kittyhawk in the Taiwan straits. During the 28 hour stand off, both ships prepared for battle. This happened in late november while the US ship was heading back to port in Japan due to being denied port of call in Hong Kong.
