What is the point? do you ask that when someone is rambling on or let them keep going.

I usually let them keep going. I actually find it rude when people say "What's the point?" to others (most of the time anyway). In my opinion, as long as they aren't doing anything wrong and aren't distracting you from anything important..... what's wrong with talking to them? If you really think it's so pointless, why don't you bring something up that can make that person think? There are a lot of people who just want someone to talk to and don't know where to start. I don't understand why people push them away because they are annoyed. My suggestion to those people is.. please don't have children.. because if you do.. your children are going to ask you MILLIONS of questions that you might not see the point to.
