Too frequently. I like to think that it clarifies the tone of what I am saying, plus I am a generally smiley person - so I like to express that and there is no other way over the net! (I'm not a kid either!) :)

Questions = never. Answers = depends on the subject. Maybe 25% of the time. Comments = if it's in a comment thread with friends, many times.

i use ':)' all day - i am an old hippie chick - i love the smiley face - i had it on everything when i was younger and i love that he is making a comeback - thats what i look like when i grin - my eyes are closed and my grin is real big . have a nice day :)

I do all the time. If you don't, people take what you say in the wrong tone of voice and miss whatever joke might be said. :)

I am more of a 'with nose' type person :-) And I do it all the time because I AM usually smiling and if you were with me when we talked you'd see my smile. SO it only seems fitting to use it.

Constantly :) At least once in most of my answers, and even more in comment threads. I'm always scared people won't get the sarcasm...and really, I just like to smile :)
