  • Yes. She has enough problems without him giving his "professional" opinion.
  • Yes, he should have kept the information confidential. That's one of the most important things that a professional has to do.
  • Yes. It shows incredibly poor professional judgment on Dr. Phil's part. He stepped over a line.
  • I'm not sure he actually gave out any medical info (I could be mistaken), but at any rate he shouldn't have dicussed her period.
  • Did he actually have her medical info or was he just voicing an opinion?
  • That's his job. He's a "shock doc" who thrives on publicity and bringing everything out into the open. I'd have been surprised if he didn't voice an opinion on her problem, especially since everyone else does. I'm no Dr. Phil fan, quite the opposite, but he didn't do anything wrong that wasn't expected of him. As in another one of my posts, I'm waiting for the right doctor to come out and say she's suffering from postpartum depression/psychosis. That's the real diagnosis.
  • IF he actually knows anything about her medical condition and he was in any way acting as her Doctor, he is obligated to keep it secret. Since he opened his big mouth, he wasn't acting as her Doctor, and thus he doesn't know the details and is in no position to talk.
  • Dr. Phil is a tired, sad, worthless hack. He's exploiting anyone and everyone to further his own personal agenda... more fame and money. I wish he'd just go away.
  • He should not have said anything.
  • Yes definitely. He went against the HIPPA laws.
  • Yes, and i also think DR Phil butt should be trouble if he did give out any confidential info., Doctors are not suppose to give out any info. I would never want him for a Doctor.
