Game should not be wasted. If you are not going to eat it- then don't shoot it. That is how I have been raised.

I view hunting as a way to get food. I don't kill what I don't eat (OK I kill insects and don't eat them although we probably should). Dog fighting is just cruelty for cruelty's sake.

I agree that you should only kill it to eat it, but it's not the same as dog fighting. The dogs suffer a lot before they die, and deer usually just get shot. But yeah, you really shouldn't do either. :)
