Yep. I keep my mom and dad away from me most of the time and I shut my mouth around them too.

never say anything that you want to keep private around someone that has a big mouth and can not seem to keep a secret

I get into theirs. They typically don`t like that very much.

I clam up tighter than a drum. They get the hint when they will start asking me questions after about 5 minutes of hearing them I say "You're still talking?!"

well when people want to keep me away they just stop telling me stuff that leads me on to asking...."Why....Why? Why?"

Don't tell them anything.

Sometimes, it better to not tell them about your business and keep it to yourself. If they ask a question that one doesn't want to answer. Tell them nicely that " It's none of their bussiness,or I don't want to get into that!" Some nosy people will lay off! Other nosy people are so bold and try to force you to open up, which they have no respect at all for another person! Saying things like, " Come on! How come you want tell us?I am just curious!" They say these things because they want something to gossip about! Sometimes, one has to be very rude to these type of nosy people in order to let them know, keep away from your business!

Act like you don't care and tell them nothing. If they find out anything stay cool. If you show anxiety, they will just keep it up thinking you have something more they have to know. Telling them to mind their own business usually does it.

Make them feel really awkward while they're around you or make it clear that you know they are snooping around without saying anything

In the first place, I never let them get close to my business,just confront them and tell them to stay away from your business =)

Smile, say Hello ...........but always just keep on walking. If they stop you to ask lots of personal questions answer them very briefly or better still turn it straight back around and ask them a similar question. I have found most people just love talking about themselves ;-)
