  • No, sorry. I'm all up for an explanation, though.
  • Yes, certainly. These aspects of being human are fine, but when they serve as the basis of our identity it's a false sense of self. To transcend these forms of self-identification is to become free of delusion. It's a basic principle of spiritual development.
  • Teach me. I like to think that I have an open mind. I like to think that I don't discriminate. However, I know that I do. Some examples. Gender-wise: when I hear "Dr. So and So", I find that I assume that it's a male. Sexuality-wise: even though I find nothing wrong or objectionable about homosexuality, I find that I assume that people are straight. I should assume nothing. Language-wise: German sounds barbaric to me. I'm sure English sounds barbaric to Italians. I don't think less of German people for speaking that language and I'm the first to admit that English is a weird, flawed language. I would love to not feel all these things. However, I feel that it's human nature to do so. How did you become a butterfly?
  • We are all on this earth with many of the same questions: Why are we here? When will we as a human race die? How long will we live? How can we keep our children safe? Is there a God? if so who is he? The list goes on and on.... Skin excluded we all are the same. We all have a need for food, Air, clothing, shelter, and love. I just read an magazine today that spoke of A request that Crosses All religious Borders. It spoke of a prayer of the Jewish faith in the Mourner's Kaddish. The prayer asks " May he(God) establish his Kingdom in your lifetime......even speedily" It said in the article "Others of non-Christian faiths have found the idea of God's Kingdom appealing. According to THE TIMES OF INDIA, a prominent 19th century Indian religious leader who was interested in bridging the Hindu,Muslim, and Christian faiths said :"The true kingdom of God will not be realised unless the east and west are joined together" The piont I am trying to make here is that if you go beyond Nationality, race, religion, language, etc... You can see we are all longing for a change. I do believe in creation and I believe we were created as a perfect HUMAN race. So the fact that we are now imperfect only emphasises the NEED for a change to something better.
