We've been together for about 9 years. Just the day to day, I don't generally get the butterflies, but I do when he comes home from work early and surprises me (or when he comes home from a work trip early and surprises me!), or when he does something special, like remembers something little I've mentioned and does it or picks it up for me or whatever.

It's been 32 years for me and my husband and when he pulls in the driveway I still get them and if it's nice I will run out side for a hug and kiss if not I wait by the door. Still a honeymoon:)
-
yes give it a year or two, and the butterflies will be replaced with resentment and hatrid at the sight of each other.
-
It's been a little over a year now and I still do get butterflies sometimes when I see him or something. But not as bad as when we FIRST started dating. I got butterflies so bad that I almost threw up sometimes, haha.

I think when the butterflies in your stomach feeling disappears all together your relationship is in very serious trouble. I'm not saying you have to have that feeling 24/7/52 but when it disappears alltogether it's usually a good indiactor that the relationship has hit a bump in the road and if nothing is done to rekindle the spark of romance that once was there the relationship will end eventually and not always pleasantly.

I get those pangs in my tummy whenever I hear about my boyfriends' ex, I don't know why if I'm so jealous or I feel sick of being with him because he may still love her that I want to throw up. really really confused. still together, we're two years now....
