  • Simply, the verse (in context) is Isaiah's prophecy to King Ahaz, who was worried about the attack on Jerusalem by the Kings of Aram and the Northern Province of Israel. Isaiah tells Ahaz not to be afraid, because he would not be harmed by these forces. As a sign that the prophecy would be fulfilled, Isaiah tells him that the young woman who was pregnant will bear a son (the Hebrew uses the definite article THE young woman, so it must have been someone Ahaz knew at the time). In respones to the other (apparently unrelated) question- we do not believe in a G-d incarnate.
