  • You can. It would be better if you had a friend come in to feed though. When salt water condensates, it tends to leach out through cracks or open spaces in the tank top assembly. It leaves behind a crusty salt residue. That could clog the feeder. Additionally, if you have any anemones, they will need to be fed, by hand, at least a couple of times per week. I like to feed them thawed silversides. And of course there's always the risk of the power going out. That would affect your entire system. Depending on what feeder you have, it may not kick back on when the power returns.
