  • Yes, but it's worthit. Cleaner, cleaner air. Pull up an old carpet and take a look at what's underneath. You'll wanna throw up!
  • definitely worth it but if you worry about spills there are always floor rugs that you can use specifically when kids come around - makes a clean up easier if you have to worry about it at all.
  • I never worried about spills or pet accidents with hardwood floors. The only thing with them is it's such a pain in the ass to sweep and mop them instead of just vacuum! But that's what kids are for, right?
  • Hardwood floors are best, and require the most care, as any good quality product will. Make sure the installers do not skimp on the underlayment either. You need to have a top quality sealer put on right from the start, and have it professionally polished from time to time. The sealer has to be replaced/refreshed frequently (follow the mfg instructions). Laminate scratches pretty bad, and starts looking faded after awhile. It gets to where it won't polish up right.
  • If you are considering wood laminate there is little worry. Actual hardwood is much more susceptible to damage than the laminate floors are. You can actually vacuum laminate floor and then just damp (not sopping wet!) mop them afterwards. It's pretty easy maintenance and looks great!
  • I worried less about it.Carpet can be like a sponge:(
  • Not at all. Hard Wood floors are amongst the easiest of flooring to look after provided they are treated (varnished and cleaned) properly.
