It depends on what you mean. I met her on April 1st of 2002. We were good friends for nearly a year and began dating on Valentines day of 03. I asked her to marry me exactly 2 years later on Valentines day of 05.

4 months and have been married for 32 years now.

I've known my wife since she was seven; she was my best friend's little sister. I never thought of asking her out until I had finished college, but I realized how stupid I'd been and proposed on our first date. We've been married 33 years, this month.

Met at 14 (me) almost 19(him). Friendship ring just before turned 17. Then at 17 got engaged. Married at 18 years. Still married 34 years later.

Well, i'm not married, but on this subject i would like to know if you met someone 5 years ago, dated for a while, and always felt it should have been more, can it be love after just talking to them for a few weeks?

We definately feel lucky. I know another couple who dated for five years before they were married, and still ended up divorced. There is no perfect way to date and then get married. I'm convinced of that.
