  • What else are you doing in addition to the karate? How many calories do you consume, on average, per day? If you have a lot of muscle, you probably won't see much change in your weight very quickly. Keep in mind muscle weighs more than fat, too. I'd say continue with what you're doing. If you aren't losing weight, it either means that your body is happy with where it's at, or you might be eating too many calories to be losing weight. Generally, you can lose weight at a safe rate by eating between 1400-1600 calories per day as well as doing a moderate amount of exercise. If you're still having problems, see your doctor before making any changes to your diet/exercise regimen that are any bigger than that.
