Both. I have a penchant for History, Crime and Autobiographies I also like to read about Theatre and Dance.
-
Really I read both. but it's mostly fiction, if its nonfiction than it's always a history or political book. my fiction books tend to fall in- -Military fantasy books, I love Dale Brown -Horror/supernatural -Fantasy -Science fiction I also read a large amount of fanfiction (or I did, I've kind of run out of things to read, most of the quality stuff I've read already).

I read mostly fiction books, particulary mystery novels. Most of my non-fiction reading is from newspapers, magazines, journals, online articles, and for the past 8 years a lot of legal books, but I'm done with that now. I also read a lot of cook books and books on cooking and nutrition.

i tend to read non-fiction far more often. the type depends on my mood or my interests at the time. i just finished "a brief history of time" to brush up on my understanding of the scientific advancements that have led to our understanding of the universe. i'm now reading through "japanese from zero" and a psychology book about introversion. and so my brain doesn't explode, i'm also reading "a handmaid's tale", which i somehow managed to never get around to reading. i used to read fiction, or more aptly not read much of anything at all. i'm not sure when or why the shift to non-fiction happened. learning makes me feel more alive i guess.

Both. If I am reading fiction, I love historical fiction. If non-fiction, I love biographies.
-
I tend to read nonfiction. I read history books, math books, music theory books.

I read for a living (editor). For myself, I read all kinds of fiction except horror, which scares me too much. I read poetry. I read spiritual non-fiction and other non-fiction like biographies. I even read Shakespeare for fun Some of my favortie authors are Thomas Pynchon, Terry Pratchett, Ann Carson, Plato, Shakespeare, Sophocles, Christopher Moore, PD James, John Le Carre, Graham Greene, just to name a few.
-
I like both, but tend to read more fiction than non (I'm currently reading "Wicked"...we just saw that at the theater last month!). I like suspense/thrillers like Dan Brown, John Grisham, Mary Higgins Clark, Lillian Jackson Brown. Humor such as books by Ellen Degeneres. I also like to occasionally read biographies/autobiographies, and true crime.

95% of what we get on television is fiction, even a great deal of the news anymore, they always put in what they percieve or are told to do. Most of our non-fiction are in books, and I used to dwell on this. There is more amazing stories right there in our history than any science fiction thriller could beat. But fiction in books is somebody's dream, so it is equally interesting to me in that way. Also you can learn a few things from it as well.

Non-fiction. Newspapers, nature magazines (National Geographic), health journals, etc. I read fiction on the odd occasion, but it's usually the classics by Eliot, Hardy, etc.

More non-fiction than fiction, mostly history and some political stuff, and my fiction tastes are in the classics, From Hawthorne to Hemingway, but not much modern fiction. I do like James Clavell and an occasional Robert Heinlein science fiction book though too.

Actually, I enjoy both, but tend to lean towards non-fiction.....I really like historical novels, esp. American Revolution!! cannot ever get enough of that,,,,also non-fiction books about it....then biographies, books dealing with other periods of history - nutrition/diets (I've learned something from every diet book I ever skimmed thru!!) - for fiction I like the classics; esp. 19th century English and Russian and French literature....I started a list years ago and am nowhere near the end, of the classics I want to read......and some current fiction, but not much!!

Mostly fiction: mostly sci-fi, and great literary classics from the first half of the last century. Mostly prose. And sometimes non fiction: essays. and quite rarely philosophy
-
I read almost exclusively fiction. I really like Sci-Fi because you can use your imagination much more. However, classic literature is good. I like some mysteries or detective novels. Generally, I like books that have a unique cast of characters or theme.
-
For the most part I've read horror fiction. The past dew years though I have shifted to non-fiction trivia books.
