The Proverbs are full of the wisdom from God thus they can be of great benefit if we follow them. Prov 12:18 "There exists the one speaking thoughtlessly as with the stabs of a sword, but the tongue of the wise ones is healing" Another is Prov 18:12 "Before a crash the heart of a man is lofty, and before glory there is humility"
My all time favourite in the Book of Proverbs is,
Chapter 3 v 5 & 6. I have found this to be true in many instances.
I can't remember the chapter or verse, but in the New Living Translation it says...
"An open rebuke is better than hidden love!"
Proverbs 4:8
I would have to say that my all time favorite proverb is:
"Like a dog returns to it's vomit so a fool returns to his folly".
"It's better to be alone in the desert than to hear the constant drip drip drip of a wife"
