It has been stated that nobody really owns a cat or dog that we keep as a pet. I'm not sure about the legalities of this, it's just somethng I've heard several times from reliable sources. Tied in with this would be the fact that we really don't have the right to do whatever we want to them, whether they are dead or alive.
