  • Hide N Seek.. That ought to give you some alone time so you can relax
  • Coloring, Candyland, Shutes and Ladders, finger painting, Playdough - just make sure they don't eat it, have a "Tea Party" or play "Dress Up", make a healty snack together and then watch a movie.
  • Anything creative should allow you to be creative too, which will help the boredom. Playdough can be fun for even the most boring adults, specially if you make things upon request. You can draw shapes and have the kids color them in while you get a break. Kid board games can make you bored after a while, but if you can handle them for a while, kids have fun with them.
  • I remember when I was 12, and had to babysit a 7 year old boy, and 2 year old twin boys all at the same time (once, their 5 year old sister was home too, and she helped out a little bit). It wasn't that hard to entertain them. You can colour pictures for a bit, play in the backyard/take them to the park, or in my case, I let the 7 year old have a friend over to entertain each other. If you really don't know what to do, you could always ask the kids what they like doing, and they will usually show you. You could ask them to show you a few things, so you could pick the one that most interests you. If it is an extended period of time, you could ask if you could have a friend come too to help out. Once, the parents I was babysitting for said I could have a friend sleep over there because I was babysitting until 2am. If you don't really know the family though, you may not want to ask until you feel more comfortable with them, and they feel more comfortable with you. If worst comes to worst, you will be bored a couple hours, until they have a nap or go to sleep,or you go home.
