  • That's the idea.
  • He wouldn't be a god if he were mortal.
  • Sure. It's like a blank sheet of paper, aware of what it is and what goes on it. Mortality is just one of the things that can be drawn on the paper. Without the paper, mortality would never realize its own existence. The pencil needs the paper; and we need the essence of god in order to have life. God is definitely immortal, because "mortals" are far from the highest being in the universe. Mortals are simply a product of all that is immortal.
  • no beginning....no end...He just is...was...and forever will be.....
  • I wouldn't use the word immortal - that doesn't cover it, quite. "Infinite, eternal and unchangeable" would be more accurate. And as to why Christians believe in Jesus (as you have been asking in comments)... God is also a spirit, holy and perfect. We believe that people are not limited to our physical beings, that in Jesus, God humbled himself to limit himself to live within the boundaries in which he requires us to live. To take our imperfection, and the punishment for it, and trade it in for his perfection, so it counts for us, and we do not have to be separated from God.
  • No, God is imaginary.
  • If there is a God He/She would be immortal, I believe.
  • hi all-good to see you---not immortal as there is no god in the sense people think-but i do believe he will live for a long time in some peoples mind----just my thoughts----smile and enjoy the night
