I want to become a country singer. I sing now in a bluegrass band, i play guitar, lead and harmony vocalist. I am 31. is 31 too old to move to nashville to become singer? Do i need to record demo. in nashville?

    31 is never too old to pursue a dream. You can record a demo record at any good studio; it doesn't have to be in Nashville. In fact, with today's equipment you could probably record a demo at home. You can then shop it around to agents and labels. Of course, the best way for them to get a feel for you is to see you live.

    Image does matter, as in every form of show business, but it's not a substitue for talent. I would strongly suggest having a "day job" set up first if you're headed to Nashville. Just as every waiter in L.A. is an actor, there are a lot of singers in Nashville who will end up missing the limelight.
