  • Ideally, one would be in a situation where you could look for a new one. You spend too many hours at work to be doing something you hate even if the money is OK.
  • Change jobs :)
  • Tough question with many possible correct answers. I think more info is needed to answer properly. Is your job part of your career choice? how long have you been at the job and what benefits have you earned during your time there? is the work enviroment hostile? do you get along with management? Are you looking to change careers or look for a similar job if you left it?
  • Change jobs. Increase skill set to get a better job. Go back to school and get a degree... then get a great job.
  • Is this you or some friend? Details matter. - Do your best each day, even if you hate the job. - Don't complain. If you can do something to improve the job, do it. If you can change jobs, do that. But above all, don't complain idly. - Notice all of those thoughts about how terrible it is. Try not to get caught up in them -- stay present to here-and-now, and try to do your best. Those thoughts make the suffering much worse than it would otherwise be: that's resistance, and resistance is painful. Life has lots of stuff we don't like. Sometimes we can do something about them, and sometimes we can't. It's important to know the difference -- to take action on the former, and learn to live with the latter. You can't stop the rain, but you have a choice about how you walk in it.
  • I don't know. I couldn't do that though. My job is what I do every day. Like the old saying, "Find a job that you like, and never work a day in your life." So they couldn't. But apparently they do.
  • I'm not trying to be blunt but just be glad you have a job, I wish I can say the same.
  • It's a hard one, you can't just leave when you need the money to support your family. I'd suggest going about with a smile on my face and doing my best until something better came along. You never know, if you change your attitude you may change your mind a bout the work you hate at the moment.
  • Maybe get a new one...
  • I think everyone feels that way to some extent on bad days that's why they call it WORK; however, if you are having a steady diet of bad days & hating your job then you haven't found your passion yet. If money wasn't the issue & you could do anything you wanted to do as a career, what would it be? If you do what inspires (in spirit) the money will eventually follow if you are living your passion. Good luck!
  • Come to an understand that you need it
