What does a barrel extension do to an Airsoft gun? Does it increase accuracy or range?

increases range some but depends on what kind of extension u want the more, less accuracy, less range way more accuracy

It increases the accuracy-reason? For the same distance of aim if you use revolver or pistol, aim it,since the distance between the tip at the both end of the barrel is less,if you aim with 0.5 degree error,then inaccuracy will be more in %age. In case of long barrel for 0.5 degree error in aiming the bullet will still be close to your aim.I could have expressed it better if I would have been able to draw the figure. That is why pistols/revolvers are considered unsafe & Guns with long barrel considered safe.

It does NOTHING to an airsoft gun other than affect your sight system in a positive way, and even that only slightly. and since airsoft BBs will get derailed due to air resistance after a few yards anyway, the question is irrelevant.

It would increase both, for you would have a longer time for the bullet being in the barrell that would make for having more rifleing rings making the projectile to spin more than with a shorter barrell

It does not increase range but increaes accuracy. that only works with real guns due to the explosion building power. airsoft(even gas operated ones) only shoot by pushing the propelant through a nozel for a quick second propeling the bb
