i have a 4-track which can be used as an 8-track! i luv it.

oh yeah!! both ...an 8 track deck and a 12inch reel to reel , had them both from new

I still have my Dokorder reel to reel recorder/player! Nothing compares to the warm analog sound that comes out of it. No 8 track tapes. I used to disassemble the 8 track cartridges and use the tape on my reel to reel unit. It works great after erasing the original recordings otherwise you hear all the tracks at the same time.

I have two Teac reel to reel decks that were made in the 1980s. My hobby is vintage audio and I collect pre-recorded reel to reel tapes made in the 50s and 60s - they have wonderful, high quality sound. Also, as a hobby, I do restoration work on old time radio broadcasts, so of which only survive in reel to reel copies.
