not at all. if you believe it's true, then yes. but stylish no. i say this because i believe it's your soul and your afterlife when it comes to a religion. and if you commit to a religion wholeheartedly you should know what you're getting yourself into. sry if that sounds harsh at all, but please i hope you know what i'm trying to say

First of all WTF(rick) Second of all I seriously don't think that Catholicism is stylish. Solution: Hamlet: I did love you once. Ophelia: Indeed, my lord, you made me believe so. Hamlet: You should not have believ'd me, for virtue cannot so inoculate our old stock but we shall relish of it. I lov'd you not. Ophelia: I was the more deceiv'd. Hamlet: Get thee to a nunn'ry, why woulds't thou be a breeder of sinners?

Not sure what you are religiously at present, but if a christian. Have you thought that they might actually be reading from the same Bible that you do.
-
No, you should believe in the lord, not act like you do to impress others.
-
Don't convert unless you truly believe the doctrine they teach. Not just Catholocism, but any religion you would be considering. You want to convert to religion for spiritual reasons, not social reasons.
-
Of course, it is not a good reason to convert!
-
LOL! If anybody asks you why you converted don't for godsake tell them the truth will you - make up some other reason that includes the words love and god. Oh and relgion (any) are a lot of things but stylish is not one of them - stylish is Victoria Beckham.
-
Only if the priests are now wearing Gucci and Armani.

When I asked a catholic teacher a similar question, he told me that I should take the catechism classes and find out if I really did want to convert. By the end of the classes, you will have a much better idea of what it means to "convert". You are welcome to attend their church, even if you are not a member, and mingle with the people. Maybe that would be more your style.

You asked for opinions so here goes mine. Anyone who converts to a religion because they think it is stylish is a freaking idiot. Sorry for being so harsh but you asked for my opinion and I am giving it like it or not. One should never convert to a religion or way of life simply because it is stylish but rather because they believe with all their heart that this is right for them. Back in the early and mid 70's the Mormon Church saw a significant increase in membership as the Osmonds became part opf mainstream pop culture. Same with the Jehovahs Wittnesses experiencing a similar surge as the Jackson 5 Became extremely popular. Sadly most of those new converts only joined because of the popularity of celebrities who were church members and not because they believed in the teachings of the pareticular religion. A few years ago Kaballah was all the rage in Hollywood and people were joining kaballah centers like it was a freakin health club all because their favorite celeb was doing it. Now lately it seems like Scientology is becoming a popular religion amongst the hollywood elite. If you want to join a particular faith do it because you know in your heart that it is right not because it's the in style thing to do.

WHAT DO YOU THINK GOD WOULD "THINK".

Given how lenient Catholicism can be, it's not like you need very much reason to "Convert". You could just go directly from Agnostic to Lapsed Catholic, you'd only have to be a genuine Catholic for at most a day or two in between. And anyway, you could always just adopt some of the little rituals and superstitions of Catholicism without actually converting. I've actually been wanting a comprehensive set of Saint's medals/figurines for a long while myself. Of course, if you're thinking about truly Converting, then no, it's not a very good reason.
-
No. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and I have no right to force my beliefs upon anyone, but personally I would not recommend that you join Roman Catholicism. I recommend that people believe the Bible, trust Jesus Christ, and live for Him. Thank you and may God bless you. :) -In Jesus Christ's Name.

No, in fact that is one of the worst reasons to convert possibly only trumped by, "because my fiance wants me to." There are many wonderful, compelling, and deep reasons to convert to Catholicism, but being stylish is certainly not one of them. Actually you have no idea how stylish (beautiful) Catholicism is if this is your main reason for converting.
-
No that is foolish. Catholicism and it's people are serious and it is nothing to be taken lightly.
