At what point do you start cleaning your room (or house, or apartment)? Right when the messiness occurs, or do you wait till it starts to get harder to move through the room itself?

I try to keep up with the mess, but too often it's a losing battle. I do cleaning every day, and then on days off from work I do a lot of cleaning.

Right away...I hate clutter. I don't go to bed until everything is in it's place. When I get up the last thing I want to see is a messy house or bathroom. I did this even when I had kids and now that it is just me and husband it's not too bad of a mess.

Yeah I tend to not notice a mess until I realize I have a hard time moving through it, so I guess I wait until it becomes intolerable.

Let's see. My bed is not made, two of my jackets are laying on a chair, my backpack is on the floor with some clothes on top of it, a lamp shade near the doorway, more clothes laying in the floor, Stewie house shoes and Zoo York skate shoes laying by my dresser drawers, clothes on top of my dresser drawers, even more clothes stacked in a pile in a corner on top of a box with a jug on top of the pile, a bike helmet in the middle of the floor, cereal bowl on the desk, garbage needs to be taken out, towls also in the floor, two belts near the pile of clothes in the corner, an empty Pepsi can laying by my desk, a box of stuff under my bead, and to top it all off one dryer sheet by my other doorway. Yeah, it's time to clean my room.

I like clean and neat so I am on top of it all the time

we keep the house quite tidy all the time then every sunday we all clean thehouse top to tail so its nice for the following week

I keep my apt pretty clean, and I go all up ons with laundry and vacuuming on Saturday. It's pretty easy when the room is only 850 sq. feet...

I'm very good about keeping it clean and tidy...Every two weeks all the floors and windows get washed, by hand etc....

Most of the time I keep up only to have a messy countertop where all happens but I try to keep away from the habbit trail syndrome. As for Gardening I do some trimming and bag as i go so when it's time to mow the grass the small leaves are all that is left for the lawnmoer to pick-up. then i don't have to freak when i do my last walk-through and find a pile of trimmings.
