Were you ever told anything rediculous at a young age that you still innately believe although you can reason that it's not true?

1. If I eat the crusts of my bread my hair will be curly (which I assume was 'the thing' at that time!) 2. Clean my plate otherwise children in Biafra will haunt me when they die of starvation.(prelude to a lifelong struggle with weight gain....all my mother's fault!!)

That my sister has needles in her elbow.She's been wearing long sleeved sweaters so it's hard to tell if it's still true. :)
