If a couple is married for 5 years,& then they get a divorce,& get re-married,& they're married again for a year,would that be 6 years total of marriage,or would they be consider newly-weds,since they re-married?

That's a very good question i'd say add up the total so i'd say 6 years

I would consider them silly for getting married again, the chances for this working out is very slim.

I think it would depend on how long they were divorced for. If they were divorced for 10 years, they would be considered newly weds. If they were divorced for 6 months, they would be 6 years married.
