Yes, because they consider to be broken up and they are the one who has the right to declare whatever they want on there relationship.

Meaning they still sleep together,go on dates, etc,? It they say their not a couple, then I wouldn't call them a couple?
-
No they are not. That is not uncommon. Has happened to me. But you have to remember that you broke up for a reason & if you continue, then you will just be fooling yourselves. Eventually someone will possibly get attached again & maybe set someone up for more hurt later. sorry i guess i answered it as if it was pertaining to you
-
nope, totally in denial. would either one be pissed if the oyher hooked up with someone else?
-
To me it would depend on if they would also date other people. It is possible that a couple "breaks up" so they can feel more free to date others, but then finds they aren't comfortable with anyone else. It's really not anyone's business but theirs whether they are "a couple" or not. They can go with what ever makes them comfortable.

it's not really anyone's opinion to give other than the non couple involved. if they're not together then i guess they'd be considered friends w benefits because the only thing that stayed the same was what they did - ie. the beneficial or sexual part, and i guess it's sort of like a no strings attached kind of deal. they are what they want to be, but hopefully in the end nobody gets hurt and they're both on the same page as far as feelings and emotions are concerned

Friends w/ benefits.

Probably not, but I guess they want to let others know it is okay if they date them.
