  • The fastest way I know of is to just play regularly.
  • The fastest way and smartest way is, as the other commenter said, to practise regularly. But one thing I think may come in handy is for you not to play too much at a time, because that's going to rub your fingers raw and that will really hurt. There were times when I didn't play much and my callouses faded, so I played a lot to get them back. Instant Pain.
  • Be sure not to bruise your fingertips. That makes it so you can't play for a couple days to a week and lose valuable callus-building time. You need to strengthen your grip as well to get good at guitar and stress balls and regular hand exercises work wonderfully for that.
  • you can always buy lighter strings!
  • you can also use your thumb nail on your fret hand to "pick" at your fingur tips when unable to play due to life. just keep jabing your nail into your figer tips one at a time.
  • There is nothing wrong with letting these callouses develop on their own over time, but if you really want to hurry up the process, you canput some heavy guage strings on your guitar for a month. Heavy guage strings are harder to press down, so they'll get those callouses forming in no time. Then once you're satisfied you got a nice pad going, switch back to regular light guage strings and you will find this guage a lot easier on your fingers that the heavy strings. And of course, the more you play each day, the faster these callouses will develop!
