I'm sorry, what is your question? Just because she is shallow, selfish and materialistic doesn't make her a sociopath, a bad person perhaps but not a sociopath.

no, a sociopath actually kills people. Your friend is not a nice person. She may be a shrew, she may be very insecure. She may have other personality problems, but not a sociopath. Just avoid her and get her out of your system. Fixating on her isn't going to change things.

Only a qualified psychiatrist or psychologist can diagnose a sociopath. What you have described is simply a girl with very low self-esteem. It's sad to see a former friend having so many problems, but she isn't really your responsibility. You need to move on with your life.

She does not sound at all sociopathic. A sociopath has no consience at all. They know right from wrong but they either think it does not apply to them ot they just don't care. Hannibal Lecter is a classic example of a sociopath.

Does she talk about other people in a negative or positive light? How do you know she thinks she's better than everyone else? Perhaps she just feels the need to talk, but deep down she feels very lonely and depressed. She doesn't sound like a very happy person to me. You say she changes her looks and cars all the time. To me, I think that she is trying to find happiness and failing at it. You say you were best friends for 3 years but are not friends anymore because she dropped you out of nowhere. It sounds like she goes through phases and doesn't know what she wants out of life. I don't think she sounds like a sociopath, but I do think she sounds like a person that needs to get her priorities straight before she kills herself inside over it.
