This is not meant to be a do list, just some things I have found helpful or worthy to do: 1) Know what you believe, and why. 2) Know what Christ is on about (uniting all things under Him and reconciling the world to God in Him) and keep a watch that you are on about the same thing. 3) Share the Word, love people 4) Pray But above all, keep trusting in Christ, the one who by dying in our place turned aside God's anger to restore our relationship with God.

Set aside extra prayer time for this trip and don't be afraid to ask the other believers in your life to pray for you before and during the mission trip. I don't know the specifics, but make sure you take some work clothes if it is a service-centered mission as well as some nicer clothes if you/your group has some down time. This might sound strange, but don't take your regular Bible with you. A friend of mine lost her study Bible on a trip and she was sooooo upset. Think about taking and using a pocket-sized Bible for personal devotions and for witnessing purposes. Be prepared for some harder hitting spiritual warfare; any time you do the will of God it will make Satan hate you and what you stand for all the more. Don't be surprised by sudden anxiety issues, unreasonable fears, etc. Just cover yourself with prayer and godly leadership. And have fun!! You're obeying the call of Jesus and aside from people coming to know Him, nothing could please Him more. Find and take joy in that... God bless

You will face much opposition because you seek to carry the truth to many who are currently the devil's. As you experience this opposition remember a few things: You can do anything through him who gives you strength. As long as you believe, you are forgiven through the blood of the God true Man Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit does the work, just preach the good news of Christ crucified and he will do the rest.

All Christians are missionaries in a way in regards to bringing the Gospel to the lost. If you're speaking of a missionary trip to another country my first word of advice would be to make very very sure that this person or people are called of God to be a foreign missionary. If a person is not called of God to be a missionary and they still go, they may encounter more unnecessary problems than they care to or have to endure. Although God's Word will not return to Him void, make sure it's His will that you go. That would be my initial advice. Along with much prayer, much Bible reading and meditating on the Word, and much more prayer. Get to know the people ,very well, that you are going with. Make sure, if possible, that they too are called of God to embark upon this mission. I don't mean to sound like a stick in the mud but your total reliance upon God and trusting Him for your well-being and protection on such a journey cannot be stressed enough. He is the source of your strength. Also the blessings that can result from such a mission is incalculable. To see God working in people's lives is awesome to behold.

The answers I have read are good and you should follow them... one I might add is always accept the people in the country you are in as equals. NEVER talk down to them or treat them inferiour. If they speak another language learn how to say hello and good by in their language as well as thank you. Many foreign countries upon meeting a person and when leaving shake their hand. Some have special handshakes learn them rapidly and if you don't do it right be willing to laugh and they will also and help you. I have spent much time in Mexico as both a helper and a leader.

Respect others' beliefs.

People can reject your religion and still be good people. In fact, they can be great people. Be tolerant and keep your eyes open and you will see this. Religion is far less important than having compassion and love.
-
keep a journal so as you grow older you can look back on it.

before you begin to want to teach others, teach yourself first. most missionaries do not know their bibles.
