by the age of 3

That varies so much from one child to another. My daughter was able to say hers at 22 months old, but I know other people whose children could say them at 19 or 20 months, and still others whose children couldn't say them until 34 - 36 months. In the end, all the kids ended up being able to say them by kindergarten and none was intellectual more superior than the others.

it totally depends i didnt talk till i was three but that was different also i just refused to talk once i began talking at three i new how to count to 10 and my ABC's and was even going to be skipped in kindergarten so it definitly depends

By 4 or 5 all the way. Most kids don't talk in complete sentences by 3 or 4 let alone learn there ABCs
-
At least by the age of 18... Just kidding...every child is different and learns at their own pace. It would also depend on how much time is spent with the child teaching him/her.
-
Depends, some dont talk until after 2. So i would say about when they are 4 or 5.

Well, I was reciting the alphabet forwards by 18 months and backwards before my second birthday. My daughter is now 25 months old and has been reciting it forwards (albeit with slowly increasing accuracy) since about 17 months. (To the best of my knowledge, she’s never thought to try reciting them backwards.) That having been said, let’s get serious here: every child is different, and just because not every child can say his or her ABCs by age two doesn’t mean there’s necessarily a problem. If it takes until the child is four or five, so be it. If you’re genuinely concerned—you know him or her better than anyone—talk to your pediatrician. S/he’ll let you know if there’s a problem. Hope that helps!

by at least the age of 3 and most certainly before they start school they won't learn it themselves though, you have to sit them down and teach them how to do it maybe use flashcards or a book
-
I would only be concerned if you have been working with your child and they have not grasped the concept by age three or three and a half. Every child is different, but if you teach the song first, and then show each letter, the concept may be easier.

Around 5 or 6 but some will do it earlier, especially if they've been exposed a lot to shows like Sesame Street.

It depends on the child and how much you teach them and spend time with them. My little girl is 3yrs old and she been saying her ABC's since she was 1yrs old because I sang them to her since she was a baby. Now her brother is 16 months old and he's just learning them and his sister sings them to him and now he picking them up, but it depend on the child.
