I guess we're just used to looking in the corners of the bills for the value, and we also are used to the faces of the people on them.
-
I guess if you use them all the time, they don't get confusing. I'm sure any currency you have would confuse the heck outta me!
-
PS. here is Australian currency, we use plastic bills rather than paper and slightly different sizes and various colors
-
Nope. It seems pretty simple to me. A $20 bill has "20" in the corners. A $10 has "10" in the corners, etc.
-
Yes, we do just get used to looking at it to see what bill it is here, the corners have amounts and the faces are familiar.
-
They are confusing. There have been suggestions that we make them different colors and sizes, but so far to no avail.
-
If I weren't so keenly in tune to my financial situation I might be confused by them. Actually I don't carry a lot of cash with me. I usually use my debit card. It keeps me from making frivolous purchases.
-
as a bank teller, i deal with cash all day every day... not confusing since us americans have been using it forever... also, the new series of bills have more colors.
-
I've never gotten confused. I'm very used to just checking what the number is.
-
No i find them very simple and easy to use. I am confused by other contries.
-
No.
-
No, but I do find foreign notes confusing. The same as you I suppose.
-
the have different amounts printed on them - i don't see how blind people cope, though.
-
Good question, we are programmed to see money at the age of three. It is not confusing to me, or others , I think... We could probably do it without the numbers at all, Just by the presidents face.
-
They all have the number of their denomination printed all over them. The rest is just filler.
-
No, in fact, currency in other places is often more recognizable: ie, UK's notes are different sizes as well as colors, euros are different colors... our money is just this boring green that is all the same size.
-
American notes are conveniently marked with a big number in each corner on both sides. When one wants to know the value of the note, one looks at the number… and that’s the value of the note. Most American coins have numbers on them too… such a revolutionary idea.
-
IF YOU KNOW HOW TO READ AMERICAN NUMBERS, JUST KEEP ON EYE ON THE NUMBERS WHEN YOU SPEND.
