    wall square foot in an occupied home where the painter is masking or protecting floors and furniture is paid @ .86 per s.f. this is labor and material but does not include moldings (base case chair or crown etc. we have been charging .65 per linear foot for moldings

    If your in the uk you wont find many painters who will do your job on a sq foot price as only major contractors use that method to work costs out.

    More normal is to get either a day rate or even just a job price unfortunatly the smaller the job the higher the rate seems to be.

    I personally would say around the £75 a day is normal however this is for a real painter not just some bloke who can do a bit of painting
