If Dylan wrote it , it must be true. Mind you Bob was probably in a state of drug induced love torpor at the time of writing so he could have meant anyones side even the man in the moon.

God is not on the side of countries, he is on the side of people. It is not God who decides who is on his side. It is people who decide they are on God's side. America was founded on the principles of being on his side and the vast majority of Americans are on his side today so generally speaking I would say the Dylan was right. God is also on the side of people who chose to be on his side no matter where they live in this world.

I think God is on the side of God. We need to find where that is and get there as fast as we can.
