  • Try Registry Booster from unible. It checks for invalid keys in the registry and cleans them up, or fixes it. It also checks for startup programs that aren't used that could be a presence of some sort of malicious virus. http://www.liutilities.com/products/campaigns/ppc/rb/gog/rbdownload/4/?s_kwcid=registry%20booster|1157029508&gclid=COeb9On-zpACFTaEOAodGU_dYQ
  • http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
  • http://www.pcpitstop.com does online scans for common problems and does some limited benchmarking. It's not comprehensive, but it will at least tell you where potential problems are and suggest some solutions. Another handy testing site is http://www.shieldsup.com , which will test your PC's firewall settings. Not performance-related, but I usually run that one right after PC Pitstop, so I thought I'd mention it.
  • I don't know..but I can tell you that I had a terrible time running spybot and norton together..my performance just became terrible..I had to dump the spybot...in case that helps:)
  • Spybot search and destroy does do a check for Internal Problems and can fix many of them like invalid registry keys.
