I grew up sorta church of Christ, backslid 25 yrs.! I looked at lots, Jw's, Pentacost, baptists,(would not even consider Catholic) and I came back to the church of Christ for the very reason that you asked, for me , they go according to the Word than any I have tried....

The vast majority of people will tell you that the religion which they follow is the true religion. However, considering the many disagreements between the various faiths, we can't all be right. I think that my religion is correct. Members of other Christian religions think that thier respective religions are right. Jews think that their respective sects are right. The best way to find the correct religion is to sincerely ask God to guide you to the correct one.

People make the mistake that if "you think" you have the true religion then you're ok. Or if it feels right it's ok. Remember Paul, formerly Saul? He started out as a religious zealot and was persecuting God's people. He felt and believed he was doing right. We're imperfect and we can fool ourselves as to what is right and wrong. But God clearly outlines what he expects of HIS followers. Even his son, Jesus Christ, condemned the religions of his time, calling them workers of lawlessness, even though they expelled demons in his name and performed powerful works in his name. But they were condemned by Jesus, because they were not doing GOD'S WILL. The True Religion will be DOING GOD'S WILL. They have been worshipping in spirit and truth. They have aligned their worship of God with what HE set out in the scriptures as to WHAT pure worship is. They are footstep followers of his son Jesus Christ. They have a world wide brotherhood that is united under all circumstances. By those standards there is ONLY ONE religion earthwide that is doing all those things.
