I live in the ATL but bought mine from a store called Mervis Diamond Importers in DC. Best Store I have ever been to. Don't purchace your diamond at Zales or any retail mall store but definitly go there to compare prices. They are like care sales men there. Find out what you want and what you can afford. Go to them and see what there prices are. Most likely your girl will feel stupid if you bought from a mall place. I have heard good things about Shane Company from friends. They are similar to the place I went to in DC that they are large but at the same time family owned. They might have different locations but they are only in the ATL and not Retail like Zales. Although Zales is a great place to buy a mens ring if you aren't looking to match a womens band. They had the best mens selections I could find and thats were I got my Tungston Band. Tungston isn't resizable and I originally ordered the wrong size. They got me the right size ASAP with no extra cost or BS Also If your girl is materialistic and you have the money to blow go to Tiffany and Co. They have great service, you can't beat the name brand, and obviously they aren't going to give you a bad diamond. Just be prepared to pay a premium for the name and the fact they won't screw you like small retail stores because they have a real name to uphold. I personally have never had a problem with anything I got from them
