Maybe a bookstore, music store or movie theater?

A storage unit place. Low overhead & maintenance. A minimum of $50.00 per unit per month and you don't do anything except keep the books, maintain the buildings and have auctions of the property left in units that haven't paid their rent. Wish I had thought of that here sooner! Now my neighbor is getting rich sitting on his duff!

Is it near Tunica, Vicksburg, or Philadelphia..or closer to the coast? Maybe some kind of discount store, such as a dollar store a discount grocery or a restaurant that serves "homestyle" cooking rather than fast food or "specialty" foods (Pizza Hut, KFC etc.)...depending on what businesses are already there.

Starting a business is somewhat like providing community service at a price. Having said that, here's a few pointers I could provide. Find what your community is lacking. If there are already 650 restaurants in your town of 6,500 people, then don't cramp yourself into that industry. Consider your budget. You may find that your community is lacking autoparts dealers, but if you don't have enough capital to stock up on parts then it might not be a good idea to go that way. Check your demographics, the kind of people in your community. You go into the mall and see that everyone's using cellphones, but nobody's selling those neat cellphone accessories your teenager was always talking about. Is this a good business to start with? MAYBE. How many cellphone users in your community are actually teenagers who can spend $10 on a cute cellphone bling? If there's no market, there's no point in selling. If possible, find something that you really like doing. If you're into computers, consider going into computer repair or computer parts trading. Remember, you might be doing this for the next 10 years or so. Might as well enjoy it. Don't hop into fads that obviously won't last long. In our country, there was a fad for pearl shakes. These were drinks with tiny, chewy tapioca balls, and everyone went crazy with them. Pearl Shake stalls mushroomed everywhere. However, after a few months the fad fizzled out, and I don't know what happened to the unfortunate entrepreneurs who jumped into the bandwagon. Good luck.

If it is near casinos then maybe either a pawn shop or one of those Check-n-Go places.
