It would be really quiet. I'll never forget walking the streets of Philadelphis on 9/11 after everyone left Center City. It was eerie.

No, if everyone stayed in bed for a day and did nothing, there would be a lot of hungry, cranky people fighting in bed.

it would be more peaceful for that day, but it would have a price. Assuming you literally mean everyone, there would be quite a number of deaths of people in hospitals requiring round the clock care. Anyone who had a serious accident (at home of course), heart attack or other sudden life threatening moment would be out of luck too.

terrible idea. nothing productive would get done. oil wells need digging, power plants need maintenance, buildings need fixing perhaps you'd rather us all just start taking prozium?

Definitly not, just imagine all the sick people in the hospital :( What people should do is to improve the education so people know the true meaning of communiation and by then we will have a better place.

In my opinion, its peoples lack of commitment to things that creates violence and accidents. I think that we need to get out there and expand our minds and act upon what we think, know and learn. If everyone was to stop what they're doing then that would put us behind a day in progress. I think that sometimes, bad things like violence and destruction have to happen in order for us to learn from them. I think that life is trial and error. Doing nothing about something, couldn't make it better, it would leave it how it is. I beleive that we are the ones who make a difference in the world, not the world making a difference for us.

mostly everybody said NO but honestly i'm on the same level with you, it would be a better day, and maybe people would realize that it's making a change, i do believe it would cause less violence, robbers, and all the other etc.. people would realize that spending time with the family is more priceless than out hanging with friends, doing the same thing every weekend, until when do they realize that they need to grow up. There's no place like home.
