Has anyone ever heard of a connection between a childs recurrent ear infections and dogs/pet dander?

I've worked as a vet tech for about eight years now, and I've never heard such a thing. I think (don't quote me on this, though) that it really depends on what kind of ear infection your child has. It's unlikely an inner ear infection would be caused by anything external, but hey. I'm the animal nurse, not the small person nurse. Ear infections are linked sometimes to allergies, though. Maybe your child is allergic to pet dander in general. Good luck!

Yes, an allergy to pets can certainly contribute to ear infections. My wife and I are prone to this if we are around cats for too long.
