Is there any way to get your overdraft fees back from your bank in the US?

Actually, sometimes there is. My wife and I had an account at the same bank for a long time. Because of the duration of our account, occaisionally, the bank would reverse overdraft fees as a courtesy. Just call your branch and ask.
