  • Yes, this was a cool film and the twists and turns in the plot were great. King weaves a good story. The clown in "Spawn" was pretty good too.
  • My father was a professional clown and my family was a troupe of clowns when I was young, so generally clowns do not scare me. But, Pennywise scaress the crap out of me.
  • I read the book first and IT gave me nightmares for a bit. He was really scary in the movie as well.
  • I love the book and the movie. I saw the movie first when I was little but no, it didn't scare me. Reason is It doesn't appear in that many familiar settings, always when the children are alone and in some weird places, so right away it becomes way too abnormal to scratch your head, even if it's a clown. Although that scene with Ritchie in the library when he's older is pretty spooky. And in the book It takes different shapes, and some are a lot more frightening then the clown shape, like Stan's mummy in the house from the movie. I think it was Ben who had the mummy in the book though, I forgot. Also Henry Bowers himself is quite the creepy individual in the book, a lot more troubled then he was in the movie.
