yeah, and why aren't hernias in men called hisnias?

I do not know about others, but in my marriage it is perfectly named. He, as a man, should pause before he does something during this time of my life. You never know how I will react. I may be the one going through it, but by the name he understands that I am dragging him through the hell of it with me. It is important to share things in a marriage isn't it?
-
Because men suffer from the later.

I found this -after I did a men prefix search: Meninges: this is simply the plural of pl. of "meninx": which comes from the Greek word meaning a membrane, especially that of the brain. It is used in medicine to describe any of the three membranes enveloping the brain and spinal cord (known techinically as the dura mater, arachnoid, and pia mater). It is in turn the root of "meningitis": inflammation of the membranes of the brain or spinal cord. Linguistically it is the basis of a number of technical medical terms, e.g. meningo-cerebritis, meningo-encephalitis, meningococcus, me"ningo-en'cephalocele, meningo-encephalomyelitis and so on Menopause: this comes from two Greek words, "meno": a month and "pausis": an end or cessation, and is used to describe that time in a woman's life when monthly ovulation ceases and with it "menstruation", another term based, likes its synonym "menses", on the word meaning month. Meniscus: this comes from the Greek "menisikos": a crescent, which itself is a diminutive of "mene": the moon, and thus means "a little moon". While it is medical uses, it is best known as th description of the convex "bulge" of liquid that appears when a vessel is filled to its very rim. _________________

That's not end of life to a woman so,it's not "womanopause".She has far more better things to do after that.
-
Because women will always pause to try to figure out how to blame men for it.
-
cuz women come from the rib of man! WE ARE SUPERIOR!!!!! >:p
-
to follow your logic consistently, it ought to be womenopause. I've no idea how the word was constructed but I'm sure it has a Latin or Greek root and the 'men' bit has nothing to do with men (or women)
-
because the root word is not referring to gender. It is referring to menses (The monthly flow of blood and cellular debris from the uterus that begins at puberty in women and the females of other primates.)
-
Traditionally, "woman" technically meant "wife-man" and "man" approximated to person.
-
+5 I had it. When you are having mood swings and you get so hot that your glasses steam and your hair is wet it is time for men to pause and forget about relations for a while. And now you know why it is
-
Because when we get it...It makes them think twice and pause before coming too close.
-
Because the 'men' isn't from the word men. It's from the word menes, for month, as in she has her 'monthlies' and then she doesn't have them.
