Is it normal for a co-worker that works in customer service to burp and at times loud? I reported to my manager but all she did was laugh it off. Now I'm singled out in the office and other co-workers are doing the same thing. What else can I do?

This is incredibly rude. My inner child wants you to start farting around them, but my best answer is to talk to her manager since she obviously doesn't know how to keep anything to herself or act like a manager.

If you have staff meetings, bring it up by bringing a box of "doughnuts", and have it filled with Gas-X. Tell the staff memebers that you would gently like to remind them that it is NOT acceptable to belch in front of customers, and that they are only hurting the business and making themselves appear immature. Don't worry about the manager at this point.

I wouldn't call this normal. They are hurting their own business by doing this and obviously do not realize the effects it has on them. Maybe you could just leave and find a new job and let them learn their own lesson when they have no customers left. If you don't want to, you will have to talk to them and tell them exactly why burping in front of customers is really not a good idea. Any person with common sense knows this.
