I think this is a good question. As long as they are paying out sizeable amounts of money, these people are going to gorge themselves. It is a form of self abuse and greed. I can't think of one reason why these contests should continue. I am sure I will be in the minority for thinking this way.

I agree that it is a dangerous "sport". But we don't ban other dangerous sports - skydiving, potholing, boxing etc. I am a great believer in letting well-informed adults do what they want to themselves so long as they do not harm others. I don't like it, but I think it comes within the bounds of personal freedom.

I believe you should begin encouraging better eating start off small family and friends then strangers etc but getting it banned dunno if its possible its hard wired into American culture and their proud of it unfortunatley
