I went every year from the time i was 16 until I was about 23. I am now 30 and I only make it occasionally. When I lived in Atlanta I went to them all because it was convenient. I live 2 hours away now and sometimes I just don't have the time off, spare money, or patience to go through with it all.

I not only attend them....I March in them....or had for many years. I have shown this photo before of me on Answerbag. I handed out the red ribbon on the winning March float in 1990. I had my photo printed in the New York Daily News. They sent me the photo when I requested it. (Now I have asthma and the walking in the heat gets to me). Technically, the March is not a Parade as all rights are not granted equally, so we are marching for full benefits. Then, and only then, can we call it a Parade. Pride is a great word and it really brings joy to my heart to know that the Marches just keep growing and growing with more politicians in them than ever. This year they are trying to get some of the Democratic Presidential hopefuls to march in one or two of them, even for a few minutes. It will really behoove both of us in the long run.

I went to the San Francisco one once. It was quite the spectacle.

I usually had to work..because I worked shift work..but I have gone to the last few if only just to increase the numbers.

When I can get to a big city, I definitely go.
-
I want to, but every year I always have to work that day.

Never been to one. Charlestons was last weekend and I thought it was this weekend so I missed it due to the mix up. But Lexington, Kentucky (which is about 2 hours from here) has one in mid July so I may go to it if gas declines (I know wishfull thinking but still).

I used to. Now I go every 2nd or 3rd year.
-
Never. Unless you consider SciFi Conventions Geek Pride Fests.
-
I never have, but I've never had the opportunity to either. Never lived in a city that had one. I'm not gay but I support gay rights.
-
Not regularly, but I find them really good fun and have lots of gay friends who I go with. Some dancing, drinking, celebrating - Can't wait until Brighton Pride '09!!!

every year for 3, this will be my 4th

I went to one last year in support of the Aids Center I was working for. There was so many interesting people and I had a lot of fun.

I go to Pride Fest with friends in Durham/Raleigh. My husband and I go I should say - we support equal rights for everyone, and we support our friends. We also walk in the AIDS walk whatever city we are living in. I worked in theater for a few years and as I began to lose friends to AIDS I became an advocate for REAL sex education, condom distribution and AIDS education - for everyone (senior citizens included). I still do some activist work with friends, but living in Indiana has made it more difficult to connect with the gay community. There is so much discrimination and hatred that exists here.
