Well if you believe in God then you believe he created you. Naturally follwing, he therefore created your brain, which over the years has created science. I trust science and put my faith in the big guy. When all else fails, pray to the big guy that science is correct. As an aside, if you believe in God and that he created you, then he created your beliefs your skills, your intelligence so if you believe about people's abilities in that regard then I guess you have to trust in God. However, he has put ringers into the game. A bit of a circular argument, but that's how I view it.

    Neither.
Faith is believing in something because you want to.
I believe in science because I can see most of what it says. Yes some of it is faith and not actual proof (string theory for example) but it is faith that is so well backed up in theory that it is science.
Religion is complete faith. Its the believing in something without being able to see anything to give evidence to show that what you believe in is true.
I have nothing against anyone who believes in whatever they like, but I prefer to be able to test my belief's and not just hope they are true.

I put my faith in God. That doesn't mean that I don't believe in science, I know that it exists, but I don't think its responsible for the many blessings in my life. I thank God for those : )

Scientific knowledge changes everyDAY. It wasn't so long ago that if I put my faith in science, I would've believed in sea monsters, a flat earth, demonic possession, and all sorts of fucked up shit. And as far as God goes, he hasn't made his presence in my life known yet, so until then my presence will not be in his.

sience... You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways. besides,My choice has no practical relevance to my life, I choose the outcome I find more comforting, and I find it more comforting to believe that all this isn't simply a test.

There is nothing mutually exclusive here. You can put your faith in both. Science, in my view, is merely the detailed study of God's work. Science, as we know it, helps us better understand how and why things work. God has left it up to us to study, as best we can, what he created. How long ago did he create? Well, according to what science has discovered, the Big Bank occurred 14 billion years ago. Everything sprang from that. So we might say that God started everything in motion 14 billion years ago. Of course that leaves open the question of what took place before that?

God--no doubt. What is science, but knowledge that we have accumulated--thus far? Who knows WHAT we will learn, tomorrow? We, could actually "learn" tomorrow, that what we "know" today--is WRONG! Case-in-point: Remember when the "scholars" (of the day) KNEW--that the world was FLAT? What if people placed THEIR faith in that "science?" (Alot of people probably lost money on THAT bet, eh? LOL)

Now then, when was God ever proven wrong?

Faith to do what? I trust the scientific process to produce an ever more accurate picture of the world around us, and ourselves - and therefore to produce solutions to problems as we come across them.

I don't trust any god for anything, since they are man-made, fickle, changeable and apparently tell different people entirely different (and mutually exclusive) things at the same time.

I have no 'faith' in anything. Faith is belief without evidence.

I trust what science reveals because it is based on repeatable, verifiable evidence. It is not perfect but it is self correcting. New data is added continuously and it only gets more accurate over time.

Religion is not based on evidence or facts, rather it is based on mythology.

Both - God cannot be limited; however, science can be proven. We don't know God's history or His plan for the world, so who are we to say that science doesn't support the Lord's existance? The Bible tells us that there were 7 days of creation...but through faith we know that our time doesn't correspond with God's time. So the 7 days written in the Bible could very well have been millions of years in our version of time - thus evolution(and science) intertwine with religion.

    Both

    They both answer different questions.

Science is very good at explaining the how of things. They explain the way things occured. Science is not so good at explaining the questions of why or who? For instance they could say that to the exclusion of all other guns, this gun fired that bullet. They could not say who fired the gun. Science also believes in things that are not seen. Ever see an electron? Got a jar of quarks on your shelf?

Religion is better at answering the questions of who, and why. They deal with the historical record. God created the animals according to the bible. It did not describe the mechanism or method he used to do that.

If you dig deeply enough into either science or theology, there is no contradiction. For example. Science now describes the begining of the universe as a "Big Bang". First there was nothing, no time, no dimensions, no space. Then it exploded, and what was nothing became everything. Religion says God spoke, and nothing became everything.

I put my Faith in Truth. That means that I reject science as being at odds with God as typically claimed by certain groups, and I try to sift through the good points and weak points of each approach to form a hybridized resolution which I believe makes the most sense. This requires intensive study of many areas. I believe in God, but there are too many who assert their own infallibility in their interpretation of scripture, which I believe to be an arrogance of the very highest order- motivated by a love of their own sense of authority- and not God's, as well as projecting deep insecurity. The Big Bang and a universe which is a little under 14 billion years old is well established. Evolution is also well-established. People who use the Bible to attack science are frequently scientifically unsophisticated and tend to lack either the imagination or intellect to resolve the paradox themselves, and therefore feel deeply threatened and become desperate, demonizing what is simply an autonomous methodology of ascertaining physical truth, and they conveniently ignore any portions of the Bible that are not in agreement with what they want others to believe- tragically projecting their own limitations. This is most unfortunate.

Science is merely the pursuit of physical truth- that which is ascertainable through a methodology which includes peer review of gathering evidence, creating hypotheses and predictions which are testable for the purpose of proving or disproving or requiring further refinements in the narrative describing the matter at hand. God is not testable. What test tube could hold Him? Who would you have do the testing? Would you accept the results if it were somehow proved that He doesn't exist? 'Godless' science is therefore a blessing to a true Believer- science as a tester of what is merely physical is necessarily incomplete and imperfect and unworthy of truly measuring God in His infinite glory which is transcendent of the physical. Yet this blind and ugly ignorance abounds, resulting in many spiritual casualties- intelligent people who understand science and who refuse to capitulate to those scientifically ignorant religious authorities who are severely misguided at best and who abuse their authority by their misinterpretations of the Bible that would challenge the sense of power they covet so. I believe them to be truly a brood of vipers. Science does not conflict with religion, nor does it try to explain God, for which I am grateful. The physicality which science does explain so brilliantly does not ultimately conflict with God at all. It takes real faith to realize the depth of that statement and to then rise above the very intense stupidity and misguided faith (and worse) which has tried so desperately to confound it.
