Any one heard or have tips for a white elephant swap to make it the most interesting?

As long as it isn't for a work related party, then take something possibly a little risque. We took "Sex for Dummies" to one last year and it was funny. If it is a crowd where something like that is not appropriate, then take something super silly. At one work related White Elephant, the pink fuzzy slippers were making the rounds and cracking everyone up.

We had friends (now divorced) who used to throw a "White Elephant" party every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We'd bring one gift per person, put them all under the Christmas tree, and then after taking numbers would choose our gift. The twist here was that after all the gifts were open, each person could take someone else's chosen gift..I think we were allowed two such changes..it made things very hilarious! The gifts were sometimes zany, sometimes quite nice..you could not refuse to give up your gift! Those parties were memorable..they were much fun! :)
